The Nike SB takeover of the Swoosh roster continues. After chalking off one of the defining shoes of this decade in the Nike SB Air Jordan 4, the sub-division expanded into the Air Max line, soon to drop a version assisted by Eric Koston at the time of this writing. Come 2026, arguably the Nike silhouette will enter the canon, and we’re getting early looks at some of the colorway options on tap.
Funnily enough, rumors of the crossover first became official via Mr. Koston, donning an all-black sample for a public weartest in April. Then came a leak for the “Wheat” colorway, now represented in an early drop-off of sample pairs. Assuredly, Nike SB wouldn’t leave their takeover at simply slapping a logo on the heel cup and tongue, and this preview does appear to show a shift a thin tongue to a padded one, and a swap from flat AF1 laces to their rounder, chunkier SB Dunk Low counterparts.
Again, it’s hard to make concrete judgements with only a few angles available, but we’re seeing some thicker overlay panels toward the toe, likely formatted to hold up better in high-abrasion areas. A cushioning overhaul is likely as well, something we’ve seen in the aforementioned Air Jordan and Air Max revamps, but it’s nigh impossible to make out those touches from a distance.
Again, the Nike SB x Air Force 1 Low as a whole is expected to touch down come Spring 2026; these all-new navy and “Light Chocolate” colorways are all but confirmed to be a part of the festivities.
