Nike’s Bill Bowerman and Phil Knight are the two to thank for designing the Cortez silhouette back in 1972. For Fall 2023, Nike Sportswear will be adding to their lineup with a set of new colorways that includes this upcoming “Black/Sail” makeup.
Dressed in a Black, Sail, and Alabaster color scheme. This offering of the Nike Cortez comes constructed in a premium build with of tumbled and smooth leather and mesh materials. It features a Black base with matching tongues and inner lining while having Sail Swooshes, heel tabs, and insole branding. Black branding on the heels and embroidered tongues atop an Alabaster rubber sole giving off a vintages aesthetic completes the design.
Check out the official photos below, and look for the Nike Cortez “Black/Sail” to release in the coming months at select Nike Sportswear retailers and Nike.com. The retail price tag is set at $110 USD.
