Stop us if you’ve heard us before: it’s a scorching hot time for Vans right now. Yes, most even sneaker-curious folks could identify that we’re seeing more of the skate brand’s shoes nowadays, but more granularly, the past few weeks has issued the first true seeds of the Vans-SZA relationship and a hefty slate from the Vans “Pearlized” series coming to end the year. Vans x Harris Tweed now adds to that schedule, and it’s coming sooner than you might think.

We first caught wind of the Old Skool included in this collection back in July, but the full range includes three distinct silhouettes. To refresh on the Style 36, it’s a mash-up of the Scottish material and the distressed/charmed aesthetics that we’ve seen take over the catalog in the past year and change; a staid blue flannel foundation and navy toes add inset peace-sign charms, spikes, and gems down the SideStripe. From there, the Classic Slip-On leans on many of those same embellishments, but switches into an earthy “Tweed Red,” brown, and khaki palette. Perhaps the most unexpected inclusion comes via the Loafer 53, a fuzzy penny style that pares back the gaudy applications but more than makes up for it in its blend of formalized uppers and traditional skate platforms. All three of these pairs are united in orange cheetah insoles and distressed sole units.
