One of the benefits of the 3D-printed footwear genre is the ability to make alterations to models without disrupting the production chain, at least to the extent seen in traditional manufacturing. That enables brands like Zellerfeld to ship new versions the same way tech companies ship software updates, rolling out minor tweaks to improve fit and function with limited resistance.
Such is what enables the Nike Air Max 1000.2, an updated version of the co-created Air Max 1000 that saw its wide debut last year. It’s essentially the same shoe to the naked eye, though the .2 version refines key elements of the outsole with an updated shape and more efficient lug system. Following an all-black colorway earlier this month, the tinkered-up model continues to trickle out with a new black style featuring Hyper Crimson Air bubbles.
The Nike Air Max 1000.2 “Black/Hyper Crimson” drops via raffle on Zellerfeld.com starting May 25th. Winners will be notified after the raffle closes on May 28th. Like its predecessor, retail is set at $179.
