The PUMA GOLF Slipstream G Rickie Fowler Edition Is Here

First debuted in the 1980s, the Slipstream has been one of PUMA's most wearable streakers through the years – a chunky, low-top silhouette originally intended for basketball. And with connections between basketball and golf becoming easier to make (Steph Curry, J.R. Smith and of course Michael Jordan are all hardcore golfers), it made sense when PUMA debuted the golf-modified Slipstream G back in June. A few limited releases later, and now the German brand has introduced a Rickie Fowler edition, teaming up with its biggest name in professional golf.Now 34 years old, the California native Rickie Fowler stood out from the pack when he first arrived on tour in 2010 with his all-action attitude, love of motocross and unique multi-cultural background. And just as Tiger Woods made the color red his own, orange now belongs to Fowler, who played college golf at Oklahoma State University. Naturally, orange makes an appearance on his signature shoe, but only in measured quantities. A single orange stripe is present on the lateral and medial sides of the soft suede upper section, then layered subtly underneath a translucent blue carbon rubber outsole.Diving into the tech, a PROFOAM midsole provides support, and a unique spikeless traction pattern with 60 different touch points ensures reliable footing.Naturally, the removable insoles feature Rickie Fowler's signature.
