The Politics 20th Anniversary Run Continues With The ANTA KAI 3 “Patchwork”

Derek Curry’s retail empire Sneaker Politics continues to pour on the collaborations for its 20th anniversary, already checking off projects with Saucony, adidas, and an early release of the Nike Air Max 95 “Bandana.” Closing out Q1 for the southern chain is a first: the brand’s debut collaboration with global footwear giant ANTA, landing on Kyrie Irving’s signature sneaker.

Dallas, Texas is one of the cities Sneaker Politics calls home, as it has been for Irving over the past three and a half seasons. The ANTA KAI 3 “Patchwork” draws from the connections between different communities, a theme central to Kyrie’s story as someone of mixed backgrounds. A blue mesh upper mimics the look of denim, overlaid with a mix of stitched graphics in varying shades of blue and tan. The interior is finished in red, while hemp-like tones and textures define both the tongue and sole unit.

Accompanying the sneaker is a full-scale community event at Fahim J. Minkah Community Park on March 20th, featuring a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a newly revamped basketball court. A family-friendly field day will follow, complete with food trucks, live entertainment, basketball activities, and an early release of the Politics x ANTA KAI 3 “Patchwork” from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM local time.
