Nike has expanded their Mind offerings dramatically since first releasing the neuroscience-backed footwear earlier this year. Next week, the 002 Flyknit silhouette lands in a fresh “Plum Eclipse” color scheme.
Nike kicked off 2026 with an interesting new release, the Mind series, which blurs the line between performance and casual footwear. Designed with science-backed developments at the forefront, the key feature is a series of spherical pods loosely embedded in the sole, which press up into your feet with each step. The pods are placed at strategic points to activate specific neural pathways through pressure points, massaging your feet and helping athletes lock in before a game, and unwind afterward. Over the Summer the Swoosh introduced a Flyknit variant for their 002 silhouette, the full sneaker of the initial two models. The look borrows design elements from the ISPA line, including a single-piece build with targeted holes in areas to breathe and adapt to your foot’s shape. The 002 Flyknit is touching down in a new color scheme next week, which casts the entire shoe in smooth Fossil Stone, adding a hint of Plum Eclipse purple for color.

Nike’s next pair of their Flyknit Mind 002 sneaker has been scheduled to arrive next week, on September 3rd, 2026. The model expands on the growing lineup of Mind sneakers, which claim to be designed through a partnership with neuroscientists and use a series of balls in the sole to hit key pressure points in your foot. Pairs will be available through the SNKRS app and select retailers for $145.
