Nike’s remastered ’01 edition of the Air Force 1 is finally here. After some initial collabs, the model is surfacing in fresh in-line styles, like this Georgetown-inspired “College Navy” edition, coming soon.

Sneakers come and go with trends, but some models like the Air Force 1 are forever. Introduced in 1982, Nike has iterated on the basketball model regularly for the past 40+ years, messing with shape, materials, and cushioning technology for different styles. This Summer, Nike finally delivered their remastered version of the 2001 shape, a version widely considered by collectors to be the pinnacle of the Air Force’s evolution, but quietly disappeared after the introduction of the 2007 version, which has stuck around for nearly twenty years since. The ’01 returned initially through collaborations, but has started to hit shelves in plenty of in-line offerings over the past month. This week, several new styles have popped up, including a “Light Army” green, and the “College Navy” look seen here. This pair is very close to the fan-favorite “Georgetown” color scheme, mixing a deep navy blue shade with light grey accents for the soles, Swooshes, and tongues.

Nike’s latest pair of the Air Force 1 ’01 silhouette does not have a release date yet, but is expected to land sometime soon in Fall 2026.
