adidas is unintentionally taking a trip down memory lane with its latest Care Bears collaboration. While the broader collection consists primarily of women’s and kids’ apparel and footwear (such as the Handball Spezial), the standout piece is undoubtedly this wacky Adilette Slide with a giant Care Bear plush attached.
For longtime sneaker enthusiasts, the design immediately recalls one of adidas’ most unforgettable collaborations with Jeremy Scott. Back in 2010, the American designer introduced his now-iconic Teddy Bear sneakers, attaching oversized stuffed animals to the tongues of adidas footwear and creating some of the most polarizing designs of the era. Love them or hate them, the shoes became impossible to ignore and helped define a period when Jeremy Scott adidas shoes were as coveted as anything else.

The Care Bears Adilette follows a similar formula by leaning fully into the character-driven concept by making the plush bear the focal point of the design, while the rest of the Care Bears adidas collection will follow a simple graphic application.
The Care Bears x adidas collection is set to drop later this Summer/Fall, and this Adilette has the chops to be a quick sell-out.
