We’ve seen some very interesting samples from Nike and Jordan Brand over the last few weeks. Today, we can add another to the list of hopeful releases, a “Realtree” camo edition of the Air Jordan 1 Low.
Rare, unreleased Jordan Brand sample shoes are coveted treasures among collectors and sneakerheads. These prototypes, often created in limited numbers for internal review or design evaluation, have popped up from time to time over the years, but often fade into sneaker legend without a proper release. We’ve seen a few recent examples at the end of 2025, like the Nike ACG-inspired pair of the Air Jordan 3, an incredibly unique take on the iconic basketball shoe that, as of now, will never get a release. However, there is still hope for some of these sneakers, like the “Citrus” AJ3 that is rumored to finally release this year, nearly twenty years after its first appearance.
This week, another incredible Air Jordan sample has emerged, and shot straight to the top of our list of rare samples that need a release. This time, it’s the Air Jordan 1’s OG low-top style, decked out in a Realtree camouflage pattern. This pair sports a white leather base with black Swooshes, velvet brown plush inner lining, and exposed foam tongues. The shoe’s overlays are covered in the camo pattern, which comes in grey tones applied to a ripstop textile. Few details about this shoe are available, like when they were made or who requested the sample, but it is a complete pair of shoes, which means Jordan went beyond color testing and had a real wear-test pair made.
Unfortunately, there is currently no planned release for this special edition Air Jordan 1 Low OG. We hope to see this unique style of the AJ1 hit shelves eventually, given how nice the color blocking of this sample pair looks. We will update if anything changes in the future, but for now it is safe to assume this is another rare and unique find that will remain in the Jordan archives for some time.
