In August of this year, the adidas Crazy IIInfinity promised to meet its evolved design ethos with modernized color blockings infused with metallics and neutrals galore. Drawing an ostensible amount of design cues from the Crazy 1, the latter’s contemporary successor has surfaced in a vibrant homage to the late Kobe Bryant’s early signature discography with the 3-Stripes.

Injected with a maize gold hue that sees a bit more orange than the Laker’s synonymous shade, the shell-toe constructed upper is doused with the titular tint from the molded vamp to the carved-out, streamlined sidewalls and the herringbone tread underfoot. While the royal golden yellow shade presides in dominance across the upper real estate, a subtle hint at Bryant’s success with the Lakers appears within the dark violet accent along the outsole. In stark contrast to the titular treatment, the upper shroud, tongue construction and inner bootie are outfitted in a bespoke jet-black execution, completing the strict two-toned colorway.

While the model’s Fall/Winter collection is still being unveiled, expect the adidas Crazy IIInfinity “Yellow/Black” to arrive sometime in 2024 for a retail price of $160. In the meantime, the pair can be seen in first-look imagery ahead.

In other news, the Kobe 6 “Reverse Grinch” arrives on December 15th.
