Milwaukee’s 414 Day celebration is coming up next week, and local sneakerphile Shake James has reunited with adidas for another special release. This year, the Samba is their canvas for a special Milwaukee-themed look.

Every year, the city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin celebrates their local culture with 414 Day, named after the local area code. The event often coincides with the Summerfest music festival, one of the largest gatherings of live music in the country spread across a span of nine days. For the past few years, adidas has held a presence at 414 Day through their relationship with Eric “Shake” James, a philanthropist, entrepreneur, and the resident sneaker don of Wisconsin. This year, the two have lined up a special release of the Samba celebrating the city, applying a printed map of the Milwaukee area across the retro trainer’s leather upper. Navy blue suede overlays are added on top via red contrast stitching, and the heels add a toggle system for easy adjustment of the fit.

The new release arrives in celebration of 414 Day and Milwaukee’s Summerfest music festival, featuring the Samba with a printed map of the area.
