Salomon New Model

Salomon is readying for Fall with a brand new silhouette in their SportStyle lineup, the XT-Evo. Precise details about the new model are scant, but Kith founder Ronnie Fieg has already teased a special colorway of the runner.

Tech-heavy running shoes have become the go-to amongst modern sneakerheads in the past decade. After the booming popularity of adidas’ Ultraboost, a performance model adopted by fashion enthusiasts, comfort became the name of the game. Running shoes are built to stay comfortable over long periods and with all kinds of wear, making them perfectly suited for sneaker collectors looking to prioritize their feet over their style. In the late 2010s, Salomon saw a huge jump in popularity thanks to their tuned comfort and techy style, a trend that has continued into the new decade, though New Balance has taken the crown for retro runners since 2020.

This year, Salomon is gearing up to introduce a new model to their SportStyle division, the XT-Evo. The silhouette has been teased online a couple times in recent weeks, popping up at overseas retailers in two in-line colors, as well as special tease from Kith frontman Ronnie Fieg. Building on the popular legacy of their XT-6, quite literally building on that sole unit, the Evo introduces a new molded plastic element to the upper. Swooping lines start at the heels and converge at the toes, with a grid element underneath to allow air to flow through the silhouette.

The in-line styles that have surfaced thus far come in two very different stylings; one in muted green and grey tones for the “Grape Leaf” edition, as well as a striking black and red combo. Fieg’s version, speculated to be a Kith collab by @ChefDoomy, also take a bold approach to the color blocking, featuring a black mesh underlay, vivid yellow for the shoe’s molded outer shell, and hints of blue and red for the inner lining and sole accent.

Salomon has not announced any details regarding their new XT-Evo runner, though the slow emergence of several colorways recently points to a debut sometime in Fall 2026. Despite the shoe’s unofficial nature so far, some stores in Europe have already released stock of the “Grape Leaf” colorway, like FootShop (thanks to Vlad Ciutacu for the info).
