The Converse One Star is joining the Rick Owens DRKSHDW line for the first time this week. The iconic avant garde designer has dressed the simple silhouette in two pony hair-clad colorways for its debut, dropping tomorrow on the Nike SNKRS app.

Rick Owens chunky line of sneakers has taken inspiration from Converse since its inception. Finally, in 2021, the two teamed up to blend the iconic sneaker line with Owens’ avant garde aesthetic, creating the DRKSHDW line. The collection is specifically for Rick and his eponymous label to reimagine classic Converse sneakers through his own lens, adding signature touches like oversized tongues and exaggerated design elements directly to the shoes that inspired his in-house offerings. The two have covered the All-Star and Weapon silhouettes so far, and tomorrow, they add another classic silhouette to the family.

This week’s release of a Rick Owens x Converse DRKSHDW model brings the One Star into the fold for the first time. The model is Converse’s signature low-top sneaker, and has bene iterated on by a huge variety of collaborators. Owens is adding his own name to the long list, which includes Patta, Carhartt, Golf Wang, IRAK, thisisneverthat, and many, many more. The DRKSHDW edition keeps things relatively simple, mainly altering the shoe’s tongues with an elongated panel. Two colorways are dropping tomorrow, both of which come in a faux pony hair construction. The first comes in Acid green, and the second in DRKDST grey.

The latest entry in the ongoing collaboration from Rick Owens and Converse has been scheduled to release tomorrow, November 18th, 2025. Featuring the DRKSHDW One Star, the silhouette is done up in pony hair textiles, and comes in Acid Green of DRKDST Grey colorways. Pairs will be available through the Nike SNKRS app for $180.
