In case you missed it, A Ma Maniére just unveiled a six shoe collection with Nike Inc. in honor of its 10th anniversary, dubbed “While You Were Sleeping” in tandem with an upcoming movie and other marketing initiatives of the same name. It’s the largest of its kind since Virgil Abloh’s “The 10” and covers all three Beaverton brands; Nike, Converse, and Jordan. Kicking off what appears to be a series of staggered releases, the next A Ma Maniére x Jordan 3 is now officially set to launch August 20th here.

Almost everything James Whitner’s brand puts its name to gets met with extraordinary demand, and this latest A Ma Maniére x Nike Inc. collection will be no different. The AMM x Jordan 3 “Raised By Women” from 2021 was not only A Ma Maniére’s first collaboration with Jordan Brand, but most sought-after releases of the year as a whole, jumpstarting a fruitful relationship that’s since birth several other headline-worthy projects.

Now returning to the AJ3 silo, the “While You Were Sleeping” edition speaks to A Ma Maniére’s contemporary touch through dark colors and tasteful materials. The upper balances between black and “Violet Ore” treatments, the latter of which lands on perforated suede across the tongue and upper eyelets. Hairy suede replaces elephant print near the toe and heel, taken in “Flat Pewter” grey, while a cream-colored midsole and “Nike Air” heel branding are matched by the lace set. Additionally, the collar is slightly more narrow than that of your standard Jordan 3, pinching the ankle for a more sleek appearance. Much like the preceding AMM Jordan 3, however, patterned satin lining adds another touch of elegance.

As mentioned, the A Ma Maniére x Jordan 3 “While You Were Sleeping” arrives August 20th. Pairs retail for $225 and will be released in extended women’s sizes (5W/3.5M to 16.5W/15M) much like most AMM x Nike Inc. projects.
