Parra is back with a new footwear project this month. The Amsterdam-based clothing brand has a number of high-profile collaborations in their history, adding another colorful sneaker to the list this month, the Vans OTW Old Skool 36.

The Dutch artist and designer Parra (Pieter Janssen) has become one of street culture’s most beloved collaborators thanks to a long history of sneaker partnerships that span major brands and iconic silhouettes. His first and most legendary collab was the Nike Air Max 1 “Amsterdam” in 2005, which paid homage to his hometown and remains a grail among collectors. Many more projects have followed in the two decades since, including several more Nike shoes, Asics runners, Vans skate shoes, and more. Most recently, Parra and Vans celebrate Go Skate Day with a special release of the Half-Cab.

This week, the Parra x Vans partnership returns with a new entry, featuring a color scheme that mimics the Skate Day pair from late 2024. Working with Vans’ OTW team, the two have cooked up a colorful take on the Old Skool 36 model, releasing this month exclusively from Sivesdescalzo. The pair features a suede construction with some amendments to the paneling, adding a wavy line across each side wall. The shoe’s forefoot comes in a rich ocean blue tone while dark pink pieces start at the eyestays and wrap around each heel. The lower heel counter itself comes in simple red. The medial walls appear to come in a dark navy blue shade, though there is no clear view of that side in the photos below.

PARRA X VANS OTW OLD SKOOL 36 RELEASE INFORMATION

The latest collaboration from Amsterdam’s Parra and Vans’ OTW division is set to release this month, January 2026. The release is reportedly an exclusive drop for Spain’s Sivesdescalzo, and rumored to be sold via raffle on January 6th, though this date has not been formally announced yet. The colorful take on the Old Skool 36 is very similar to the previous Parra x Vans release from 2024.
