Nike’s Big Bubble format of the Air Max 95 is here to stay. Unlike the same version of the Air Max 1, new releases of the 95 are continuing to stack up for 2026. This week, a fresh colorway in “Sapphire” blue has surfaced, available early from some retailers.

Nike’s Big Bubble Air Max 95 has surged in popularity by tapping into nostalgia while celebrating the shoe’s original design intent. By restoring the larger visible Air units from early samples, Nike gave longtime fans a more authentic version of Sergio Lozano’s iconic silhouette. The exaggerated bubbles amplify the 95’s anatomical design and aggressive stance, making it stand out in today’s retro-heavy market. Thankfully, the design is here to stay, with plenty of new and OG colorways primed for releases in 2026.

This week, another brand new style of the Air Max 95 has surfaced. While the new pair is currently expected to get a wide release in Spring, the “Sapphire” look is already on shelves at some retailers, just in time for the holidays. The new look features a light white & grey gradient across its layered upper, culminating in a “Sapphire” navy blue shade for the lower most panels of the runner. The midsoles come in a Dark Raisin purple shade to complete the color changing effect, while electric blue accents adds another layer of color to the design.

Nike’s latest colorway of the Air Max 95 Big Bubble is not expected to have a wide release until Spring 2026, but pairs are already available from retailer Shiekh if you can’t wait until the new year. The fresh pair mixes a light white & grey upper with Sapphire blue tones, creating a stunning new colorway of the iconic runner. Pairs will come in at the usual $190 price tag.
