Nike’s full Lunar New Year collection for 2026 is starting to take shape. Themed after a mythical pegasus for the Year of the Horse, the project now includes two retro trainers, the LD-1000 and Field General, coming in February.

The annual Lunar New Year collection from Nike has surfaced over the past several weeks, showcasing multiple sneaker silhouettes for the Year of the Horse. The Swoosh has chosen the pegasus as the theme for next year’s project, a mythical flying horse present in many myths from around the world. The 2026 series will mark Nike’s third time all the way around the Zodiac calendar of animals, and the collection so far includes the Air Force 1, Dunk Low, and Ja 3. This week, two retro trainers have joined the collection, though neither are the iconic Pegasus running shoe.

Nike’s latest additions to the “Pegasus” collection for Lunar New Year 2026 are the LD-1000 runner from 1977, and the Field General trainer from 1982. Curiously, the Swoosh has yet to include the Pegasus, one of their best-selling running models with over 34 different mainline iterations since its introduction in 1982. Nonetheless, the latest styles to join the annual collection prominently feature the winged horse, on the Swoosh for the LD-1000 and across the heel counters on the Field General. The former comes in a red suede build with white accents, while the latter is all white with a brown Swoosh and red inner linings. Both pairs feature the special woven tongue label used throughout the collection.

Nike has not yet announced an official release date for their 2026 Lunar New Year collection, though the “Pegasus” series is expected to release in February. The latest additions to the project, the LD-1000 runner and Field General trainer, will be available from both Nike’s own channels and select retailers, with both models priced at $115.
