Nike’s Air Max 1 ’86 Golf Surfaces in ‘Sea Glass’ Green

Nike’s Air Max 1 has taken over the brand’s release calendar for the year, both in its standard format as well as a Golf version of the ’86 ‘Big Bubble’ pair, which surfaced in a new ‘Sea Glass’ style this week.

Air Max 1s have made a huge comeback over the last year, seemingly poised to take over as Nike’s premier retro model, much like the AM90 was in 2020. So far, we’ve seen plenty of original colorways, reissues, and a wave of fresh styles, including a new pair purpose-made for the gold course. These golf-ready pairs feature the shoe’s recent ’86 iteration, which reconstructs the midsole to recreate the original, larger air bag. This week, we got our first look at a new ‘Sea Glass’ colorway, coming later this year. The pair begins with an off-white mesh base layer, adding the midfoot overlays in dark grey, and the mudguards in Swooshes in black. Finally, neon green accents decorate the air bags, outsoles, and top eyelets.

Nike’s next colorway of the Air Max 1 ’86 Golf has not been announced for release yet, though they are expected to arrive sometime later this year. Dressed in a new ‘Sea Glass’ colorway, with the main body in black and grey, pairs will be available from the brand’s SNKRS app and select retailers for $160.
