The real sneakerheads know that sometimes getting off the right pair comes with some compromises; “grails” in your collection might not be the most comfortable for all-day wear. For more prudent customers, Nike is retrofitting one of its lifestyle staples for the warmer weather ahead.

First tipped off with an all-over off-white, the fabric mesh Nike Air Force 1 “Anthracite” only increases this off-shoot’s foothold. As with its predecessor, the script is easily readable: nubuck overlays, nylon linings, and a breathable foundation better befit the warmer months while still keeping a refined air in place. Touching a flooded dark grey (just inches away from a “Triple Black”) is an obvious choice given the model’s history, but two more earthy editions join it: another monochromatic olive, and a Hemp-like “Linen.”
