Nike Prepares the LeBron 21 "Queen Conch" for King James

Despite being the oldest active player in the NBA, LeBron James continues to prove why he's one of the greatest ballers of all time. Despite the Los Angeles Lakers barely holding a winning record, King James is once again the captain of the Western Conference at this year's NBA All-Star Game. Per usual, his current signature shoe -- which is the Nike LeBron 21 this season -- is set to celebrate the NBA All-Star Weekend events with a unique colorway.Following up on last year's reverse Swoosh-equipped pair of LeBron 20s, a new "Queen Conch" colorway has been revealed for the LeBron 21. Sticking to the silhouette's oyster shell theme, the pair draws inspiration from Aliger gigas (commonly referred to as the Queen Conch) -- a large sea snail species. Its upper replicates the sea snail's orange shell with a unique texture utilized throughout. From there, its sole unit and laces embrace a sandy green with brown specks, nodding to the body of the Queen Conch. At the time of writing, Nike has not officially announced its release details regarding this "Queen Conch" rendition of the LeBron 21. However, it's currently expected to play a key role in the brand's release lineup for NBA All-Star Weekend, with a tentative release date set for February 16 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a price of $210 USD.Click here to view full gallery at Hypebeast
