Nike unveiled the lineup on September 8th, built around oversized silhouettes, unconventional logo placement, and blown up graphics instead of the same team mark simply resized across different garments. The collection releases in two waves, September 15th and October 12th, through nike.com, the NBA Store, and select retailers.

For the first time, fans will be able to buy the same pieces NBA players wear during warmups, practices, and team travel, closing the gap between what’s worn courtside and what’s sold at retail. Nike developed the line with input from more than 400 elite high school players, 100 NBA players, and all 30 franchises, and the official lookbook features rising names like the Thompson twins, Ace Bailey, Scottie Barnes, AJ Dybantsa, and Jalen Johnson. It’s a similar approach to Nike’s NCAA x Nike Air Force 1 Collection, and it follows the Victor Solomon x Nike “Trophies” Collection in tying Nike product more directly to basketball culture rather than treating it as generic fan merchandise.

The Nike NBA Standard Issue Collection Design

Design details vary by team instead of repeating a single template at different scales. Some pieces go loud, letting oversized logos and graphics dominate the front and back, while others take a quieter approach to the same team identity for fans who don’t want their allegiance visible from across the street. Nike backs the look with Aero Fit and Dri Fit fabrics, stretch materials, and its “bouncy fleece,” along with custom hardware, braided drawcords, and woven labels. Eight franchises with roots in the NBA’s earliest years, the Knicks, Lakers, Celtics, Warriors, 76ers, Pistons, Hawks, and Kings, will also get new Specter Edition uniforms, with those uniforms and matching apparel following later this fall. What Makes The Nike NBA Standard Issue Collection Different From Regular Team Gear

Instead of one logo stamped across every team’s gear, Nike gave each of the 30 franchises its own design treatment and built the line with input from over 400 high school players and 100 NBA players, so the pieces players wear on team travel are now sold to fans directly.

Nike NBA Standard Issue Collection Release Information

The Nike NBA Standard Issue Collection launches in two waves, the first on September 15th, 2026 and the second on October 12th, 2026, with pricing yet to be announced. It will be sold through nike.com, the NBA Store, and select retailers, while the related Specter Edition uniforms for eight historic franchises and their matching apparel are set to follow later this fall.
