The Nike LeBron 23 “Grand Opening” will be released in late 2025 or early 2026. Retailing for $210, this pair pays tribute to LeBron James’ first signature shoe, specifically the “First Game” colorway.

As Nike Basketball and LeBron James will offer multiple color options of his latest signature shoe, the LeBron 23, one of the upcoming releases is a special one. Known as the “Grand Opening” LeBron 23. The shoes pay homage to his NBA debut on October 29, 2003, and to the launch of his signature line.

LeBron James was 18 years old and a Rookie. He wore his first signature shoe, the Air Zoom Generation 1. In his first game, he dropped 25 points against the Sacramento Kings.

The overall colorway is a clear nod to the “First Game” iteration. As you can see, the Crown Containment System features a Red overlay with Black embroidery above it. Gold lands on the large Swoosh and LJ23 branding on the heels. Connecting to his first game, the date “10-29-2003” is embroidered on the liner. Other details include a White upper and an icy translucent rubber outsole.
