The Nike KD 16 carries on the heartfelt “B.A.D.” theme introduced with the KD 15, honoring Kevin Durant’s late grandmother, Barbara A. Davis, who passed away in 2022. Continuing this touching tribute, the KD 16 stands as the latest model adorned with the same theme.
In a Field Purple and Rush Fuchsia color scheme, the Nike KD 16 showcases a mesh base blending light and dark shades of Purple. The right tongue proudly bears KD branding, while the left tongue features ‘B.A.D.,’ a direct nod to Durant’s cherished grandmother. This personal touch extends to the insole, where the acronym is reiterated, reinforcing the sneaker’s tribute aspect. The design is completed with 3M reflective detailing atop a Purple foam midsole and a matching rubber outsole.
