Nike’s colorways of the Air Max 95 have been relentless this year for the model’s 30th anniversary. New releases will continue in 2026, adding fresh take on the beloved runner like this “Black Grape” edition for Spring.

Nike’s “Grape” Air Max 95 introduced a fresh color identity to Sergio Lozano’s anatomically inspired silhouette, blending white and grey uppers with bold purple and teal accents. First appearing in the mid-1990s, the colorway stood out from traditional neon treatments, signaling a more lifestyle-driven direction for the model. Its vibrant yet wearable palette helped broaden the Air Max 95’s appeal beyond running and streetwear subcultures. Over the years Nike has adapted the color scheme to various other models, as well as reissues and reinterpretations of the original.

Next year, Nike will drop an interesting new “Black Grape” alternate style of the Air Max 95. The shoe does not exactly flip the OG color scheme, as purple only appears on the Air Max tongue branding. However, it does use the same shades of purple and blue, so we’re counting this as a win. The look features a dark steel grey color for the shoe’s upper layers, which fade to black towards the sole unit underneath. Air bags are colored in their Dusty Cactus blue shade, which also appears on the lacing system and heel Swoosh branding.

Nike’s latest style of the Air Max 95 does not have a release date yet, but will likely be a drop for Spring 2026. This pair brings an alternate version of the OG “Grape” colorway to the retro runner, mixing grey, black, and blue tones with a hint of bright purple. Pairs will be available through both Nike and select retailers for $190.
