Over five years after becoming the exclusive uniform and footwear sponsor of Major League Baseball, Nike finally has some lifestyle sneaker drops to show for it, rolling out a limited Air Max 1 “City Connect” pack featuring inspired styles for each of the eight teams getting new jerseys this season. Supplementing that team-specific series is a one-off we can all get behind, a special Air Force 1 Low dropping for the Midsummer Classic in Philadelphia next month.

This year’s game sees players returning to tradition, sporting their own standard home or road club uniforms rather than a special jersey made for the occasion, albeit with exclusive patches marking the United States’ 250th anniversary. The exact theme here remains murky, but given the setting and the 250th milestone, there’s a good chance it draws from the American Revolution in some way. Official images show a beige leather foundation with mismatched gold and royal blue Swooshes on the sides, both featuring exposed stitching. Philly callouts land on the tongue, insoles, and lateral heel, while script Nike branding sits atop turquoise hairy suede backtabs.
