The Air Force 1 may be Nike’s most iconic sneaker, but for longtime collectors, not all Air Force 1s are created equal. Over the last year, Nike has quietly signaled its intention to bring back the beloved 2001 shape of the Air Force 1, a version widely regarded by enthusiasts as one of the model’s best executions. The first major indication came through the brand’s collaboration with NIGO, which introduced a more faithful interpretation of the classic silhouette and sparked conversation among Air Force 1 loyalists eager to see the updated specifications applied to inline releases.
It appears that process is officially underway because we just caught a first look at the all-white in the restored ’01 shape, which is expected to launch this Fall 2026 season for $130. While the changes may be subtle to casual consumers, dedicated Air Force 1 fans will immediately notice the differences in proportions and overall construction because it closely resembles pairs from 2001, an era that many collectors consider the gold standard for the silhouette.
If Nike is serious about reintroducing the ’01 shape on a larger scale, there is no better place to begin than the triple-white Air Force 1.
