Nike Dips a White Canvas Air Max 1 in Black

Nike’s run of the Air Max 1 over the last few years has brought us plenty of new colorways. Now, a new pair for 2024 has emerged featuring a split “Black Dip” color blocking.

Nike’s color blocking on the Air Max 1 has not changed much since its introduction in 1987, featuring the same pattern of white mesh, grey overlays, and a colored mudguard through the bulk of the shoe’s releases. This week, a new pair has emerged that strays far from that standard look, appearing to give the shoe a “Black Dip”. The upper is constructed from plain white canvas across its base and outer layers, save for white suede Swooshes and heel counter. From the mudguard down to the sole, it comes in a glossy black shade, giving the look a definitive split color blocking. The only color comes in Chlorophyll green, added to the tongue branding, eyelets, and insoles.
