Nike Celebrates Hangul Day With the Dunk Low

As Nike has expanded its global presence, its celebration of holidays and events has grown as well. Beginning in 2021 on the Air Force 1 Low, Nike has assembled Hangul Day-themed sneakers. Landing on October 9, it is recognized as Korean Alphabet Day and is a commemorative holiday that notes the invention of Hangul -- the Korean alphabet. Last year, Nike utilized the Air Max 1 and 97 with covered-up Air units and now it looks to the Dunk Low to celebrate the day.With the Dunk Low, the "Hangul Day" theme sees muted tones scattered across the upper -- combining gray, white and off-white. Its material composition begins with rough suede at the base and leather detailing at the overlays. At the heel, special detailing has been prepared with Hangul text joined by unique Nike branding on each shoe, matching the sockliner and the charm accessory included with each pair. Wrapping things up, a gum sole serves as the final touch.At the time of writing, no news regarding release details for the Nike Dunk Low "Hangul Day" has been disclosed by the Swoosh.
