The Air Jordan 1 Low's Skate-Inspired "Born to Fly" Theme Appears in Black and Red

Nowadays, it isn't uncommon to spot Jordan Brand kicks in non-basketball sport settings. In the NFL, many players wear rare Air Jordan cleats -- featuring everything from the 1 in its iconic colorways to team-themed Air Jordan 14s. Another sport that has seen an uptick in Jumpman appearances is golf. A favorite activity of Michael Jordan's, it's no surprise that he enlisted his design team to tap into the greens. Recently, a greater focused has been placed on skateboarding with launches such as the Nike SB x Air Jordan 4 "Pine Green" bringing sneakerheads and skaters together.In continuation of this crossover, Nike revealed a new "Born to Fly" theme in white and "University Blue" earlier this month on the Air Jordan 1 Low. Now, it has appeared with a black and "Fitness Red" combination. Utilizing a color palette fitting for fans of the red-hot Miami Heat, the sneaker utilizes a leather construction that sees red and orange light up its white Swooshes. A striking red lining and metallic-colored tongue also enliven the pair while various skate-themed drawings and phrases appear at the medial and interior.Nike has yet to disclose any release information regarding the Air Jordan 1 Low "Born to Fly" in this black and red colorway.
