With the reveal of the Nike Book 1 “Lilac Bloom,” the release cadence for Devin Booker’s first signature shoe is beginning to pick up once again. Adding to that regained momentum, the NY v. NY tournament brought a new addition, a version of the Nike Book 1 with all-over snakeskin print and a gum bottom.

At this point, it’s fair to say that reptilian patterns are the defining motif for the silhouette halfway through its “rookie year.” Applied subtly on the debut “Chapter 1,” the same concept remained through the “Hike” and fittingly, the “Rattlesnake” Book 1. The shoe featured here is certainly a lighter, more sprightly take on the idea, the off-white accenting on the sock-liner, laces, pull tab and midsole doing a lot of heavy lifting in making this a warm weather fit.

In this “first look” sort of setting, we don’t have much additional information about this Book 1 or its potential release. However, with that “Lilac Bloom” edition set to drop on July 18th, this presents as the likeliest candidate for its follow-up. Additionally, the Watson squad all rocked the pair for their NY v. NY matchup, making it more likely that this is a public pair rather than just a PE. Regardless of the official plans for it, you can catch a closer look at this shoe via the Slam Kicks imagery below.
