Nike Adds Pinstripes and Brogue Details to the Dunk Low

Nike is upping their game with some fresh new styles of the Dunk Low this season. The latest edition borrows details from classic dress shoes, adding pinstripe textiles and brogue overlays for a wild new look.

Nike’s Dunk has been a staple of the sneaker world for nearly twenty-five years, often referred to as one of the original collectible pieces of footwear. Over that time, we’ve seen hundreds of different colorways and collaborations featuring the former basketball shoe, but nothing quite like the ‘Pinstripe Brogue’ pair that surfaced this week. The new look borrows a number of features normally seen on dress shoes, repurposing them for a sneaker silhouette. The look begins with a black twill base layer, which features white pinstripes stitched in. The white leather overlays with brogue perforations throughout the toes and heels. Dual kilties in brown and white cover the toe box, with a special gold lace jewel for extra flair. Leather inner linings and tongue tags add a premium finish, while brown rope laces or white standard laces give an option to customize.

Nike’s new upscale edition of the Dunk Low has not been announced for release yet, though we expect to see them release sometime late in 2023. Adorned with dress shoe details including pinstripes, broguing, and kilties, pairs will likely have an elevated price tag of $160 or more.
