Another surprise Air Force 1 project has surfaced today, once again involving Nigo. The Japanese streetwear designer & DJ is tapping his friend J-Hope to help on a new Nike release featuring the ’01 shape, coming soon.
Nigo’s new era with Nike had a bit of a slow start, but is off to the races in 2026. The legendary Japanese designer and mind behind BAPE and Human Made kicked off his Swoosh partnership in 2024. For almost two years, his footwear releases exclusively featured the Air Force 3, a personal favorite of his that Nike had to dig out of their archives to recreate in the modern era. These releases sold well, but have not exactly have the hype of the latest project, the Last Orgy 2 Air Force 1 ’01. That release landed in Spring, giving us our first look at Nike’s remastered ’01 shape for the iconic low-top.
This week, a new leak from @brandon1an and SneakerMarket.Ro confirmed that Nigo will continue to use the fan-favorite shape for upcoming releases of the Air Force 1. The next project will see him teaming up with J-Hope of BTS, continuing the collaborative relationship that started last year with their “Human Hope” apparel collection. While the actual shoes have not leaked yet, a mockup and details give us some idea of what to expect. The shoe will come mainly in a Burnt Sunrise shade of orange, paired with accents in Metallic Gold and taupe. Their shared logo will be applied to the outer heels, and pairs are expected to come with a patent leather finish.

Nike, Nigo, and J-Hope have not made any official announcements or teases regarding their upcoming three-way collaboration with the Air Force 1, though according to the leak from @brandon1an and SneakerMarket.Ro, pairs will release this holiday season. Continuing their “Human Hope” theme, the legendary streetwear designer and BTS member are giving the AF1 ’01 a Sunrise/Gold/Taupe color scheme. Pairs are expected to be limited, releasing through limited channels for $150.
