New Balance’s 998 Made in USA has surfaced in a second new color scheme this week, offering up a simple ‘Black’ colorway with grey and silver accents, coming soon.
New Balance’s retro 998 is continuing to make a strong showing of new colorways this year, revived recently to join the Made in USA lineup. Originally released in 1993, the silhouette turned thirty years old this year, marking another historic milestone for the Boston brand’s extensive archive of sneakers over the decades. This week, we got our first look at a core black colorway of the older running shoe, offering up a simple new look for the coming seasons. The pair features a dark grey mesh base, adding black suede outer layers and light grey mid layers in between the two. Metallic silver hints appear on the heels and ‘N’ logos, while tan inner lining and heel counter complete the look.
NEW BALANCE 998 MADE IN USA ‘BLACK’ RELEASE INFORMATION
New Balance’s next release of their Made in USA 998 has not yet been officially slated for release, though we expect to see them arrive sometime in late Summer 2023. Dressed in a core black color scheme, pairs will likely be available from both NB and select retailers for $210.
