New Balance and LM.RT, the label led by Liam Maher, have unveiled the 2010 Designed by LM.RT collaboration.Rooted in the tailoring and manufacturing traditions passed down through Maher’s family, LM.RT is a brand that values material texture and craftsmanship. For this New Balance 2010, the design draws on the Greek myth of Daedalus and Icarus, interpreting the theme of “balance.”The upper layers dark brown suede, mesh, and warm brown leather, with a warm orange logo as an accent. An aged finish recreates the look of scuffs and fraying for a worn-in feel. Underfoot, the midsole features ABZORB cushioning. The shoe also comes with custom packaging adorned with mythological motifs including wax, wings, and flames.The New Balance 2010 Designed by LM.RT is priced at ¥26,400, including tax.
