Just a few months removed from its non-collaborative debut, the Nike Moon Shoe is branching out with a new material makeup. The 1970s track model here suits up for the autumn months by swapping its usual nylon foundation for leather, aligning both aesthetically and practically with the season ahead.
Two leather colorways have emerged as of this writing, one in University Red/Black and another in Flax/Pale Ivory. Both feature Gum Medium Brown waffle soles in true OG-inspired fashion.
The Moon Shoe is perhaps Nike’s best answer to trending slim models like the adidas Samba and PUMA Speedcat, though reaching that same tier of mainstream popularity is no small feat. That said, the model’s string of Jacquemus collabs has earned it a devoted following in the elevated fashion space, which is certainly a strong foundation to build on.
