It’s always darkest before the dawn, or at least that’s the ethos James Harden is aiming to achieve in the Cavaliers’ second-round bout against the Pistons. Meeting jet black trim down the midline with champagne-colored exteriors, this marks a return to a colorway last seen on the Harden Vol. 4, though James has never shied away from a pink version of his kicks.

Bucking the hush-hush cadence that sneaker brands usually rely on for new product, adidas and Harden have been pretty transparent when it comes to what to expect from The Beard’s sneakers.
