Given its longstanding pitch dominance, it should come as no surprise that adidas owns one of the most sought-after boots made for the 2026 World Cup. The Three Stripes is paying homage to a legend by reviving Lionel Messi’s F50 cleats from 2006 for the modern day, crafted with updated technology and adorned with callouts tributing each of Argentina’s three World Cup wins. As for terrace regulars, the brand is also dropping a matching Climacool F50 sneaker.

The adidas F50 franchise has brought its likeness to several adidas lifestyle models in recent seasons, including the Taekwondo, Megaride, and even a “boots only summer” relic in the upcoming adidas F50 Adiframe. The original adidas Climacool from 2002 sits at the core of this delivery, here given an Argentina-inspired white, blue, and gold colorway to go with multiple key hardware transformations. For one, the quarter drops its TPU cage in favor of curved stripes over white mesh. There’s also a dedicated canvas panel at the toe box, finished with blue and gold F50 detailing on the sides while maintaining the original TPU toe cap. The eyelets and tongue come in that same canvas material, while the heel incorporates Argentina’s iconic striped national kit.

Given Messi’s star power, we wouldn’t be surprised to see these fly off shelves. No release date has been set as of this writing, but the aforementioned Messi boot is due out February 1st in the US. See official images of both styles below if you’re set on copping.
