The Nike KD Aunt Pearl honors Kevin Durant’s late aunt, Pearl Williams, who passed away from lung cancer. Launched in 2012, these unique sneakers symbolize the deep bond between Durant and his beloved aunt.

In 2023, the Nike KD 3 “Aunt Pearl” expands the cherished collection, boasting a delightful blend of Medium Soft Pink, White, and Lotus Pink hues.

The shoe blends Flywire, leather, and mesh materials in varying tones of Pink across the toe box, midfoot panel, and heel. A darker Pink shade graces the laces and inner lining. The heel pays tribute to Aunt Pearl and basketball coach Kay Yow, who battled cancer. Proceeds from previous “Aunt Pearl” models have supported the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, represented by its logo on the left tongue. Inner tongues also feature embroidery dedicated to Aunt Pearl. The design is complemented by a White midsole atop a semi-translucent outsole, and the shoe comes in special packaging.

The “Aunt Pearl” KD3 will contribute to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, furthering its support for cancer research.
