New Balance debuted the 550 back in 1989 as a basketball shoe. After its initial run, the 550 was filed away in the archives, before being reintroduced in limited-edition releases in late 2020, and would finally return to the full-time lineup in 2021, quickly becoming a global fashion favorite. Adding to its lineup for the summer months is this women’s-exclusive “Sea Salk/Green” colorway.
This offering of the New Balance 550 comes constructed in a mix of leather, mesh, and pigskin suede materials with perforations on the sides. It features a Sea Salt and Off White base with Light Grey overlays. Highlighting the shoe are Green contrasting accents on the “N” logos, New Balance and “550” branding. A solid White rubber sole complete the design.
