In addition to several collaborative and inline releases already in the books, Angelo Baque’s Awake NY is next up to put its twist onto the Jordan Air Ship.
The shoe itself was designed by Bruce Kilgore and released in 1984. It was an update to the Air Force 1 that he had designed just two years earlier, and became the first basketball shoe worn by Michael Jordan in the NBA.
This offering of the Awake NY x Jordan Air Ship a White/Sail leather upper with mismatched Gym Red and Game Royal accents on the right and left shoe, respectively. Metallic Sliver Swooshes, Awake NY’s signature “A” logo atop an aged midsole and semi-translucent outsole completes the design. The shoe also comes with a metal Jumpman hangtag and will be housed in special packaging.
