Jordan Brand’s ongoing WINGS collection is adding another iconic silhouette to its growing legacy. A first look via official images at the upcoming Air Jordan 13 “WINGS” has surfaced, fully revealing the latest special-edition Retro created in support of the brand’s WINGS program.
Following previous installments that include the Air Jordan 3, Air Jordan 5, and Air Jordan 12, the 13s continue the series with an upper wrapped almost entirely in black denim twill, replacing the model’s signature quilted dimples with embroidered X-shaped stitching that gives the silhouette a more handcrafted appearance. Black leathers contrast the denim at the toe and mudguard.
Subtle bursts of color emerge through the monochromatic package via the purple, green, orange, and blue accents appear throughout the outsole’s traction pods, while the signature “cat’s eye” hologram at the heel is reimagined in green. Behind the tongue, the Jordan WINGS logo serves as the collection’s defining signature.
As with previous WINGS releases, the design celebrates Jordan Brand’s commitment to education through its WINGS initiative which helps create opportunities for the next generation of students and young leaders around the world. Each installment has used an iconic Air Jordan silhouette to spotlight that mission, with the Air Jordan 13 now joining an increasingly meaningful lineage that exist to raise proceeds for the cause.
