Fenty x PUMA Returns With New Avanti Colorways

Back in the creative director's chair for the revival of her highly sought-after Fenty x PUMA collaboration, Rihanna has once again proved the power of her celebrity in fashion. After a successful relaunch in September, the artist's label and the German sportswear brand have returned with two fresh colorways for their newly-released sneaker, the Fenty x PUMA Avanti.

PUMA first introduced the Avanti in 2001, as an evolution of its disruptive Jil Sander King athletic sneaker. Today, the Fenty-labeled version, which originally arrived in matte black and a reflective silver tone, cites inspiration in the legends that made PUMA's football footwear notable in the 1980s, including Eusebio, Pelé and Maradona. “I wanted to bring something iconic from the archives to the street, and the late great Pelé made the Avanti shoe so iconic,” Rihanna previously said.

Building on their inaugural output, Fenty and PUMA have now redone the joint silhouette in two regal hues: a potent emerald and a rich navy blue. Both designs feature premium leather uppers with a debossed gold FENTY marking and white and brown gum soles.

The Fenty x PUMA Avanti's new colorways will drop on November 2 via PUMA's webstore. Like previous releases, the sneaker will be available in men's, women's and children's sizes. Take a closer look at the collaboration's latest delivery in the gallery above.
