If your timeline over the past few days hasn’t been taken over by Iceman and the surprise inclusion of two extra albums from Aubrey Graham, we’re not sure which internet you’re on. Love it, hate it, or be indifferent, Drake has re-established himself as arguably the principal cultural mover in hip-hop once again. Who better to leverage that power than his closest confidants?

In a social media spot just posted by both Drake and Kevin Durant, Drizzy stars in the official reveal of the Nike KD 19. Giving a chance for Mr. Graham to flex his acting chops anew, the perennial All-Star shows off options for his next signature shoe, first pulling out a cowboy boot reinvention of the AF1, then a Yeti-like overhaul of the Air Monarch. Laden with Toronto slang, the rapper is all ears for each of those wild steps, but KD understandably gets the biggest pop when the real thing makes an appearance: a chilly colorway of the Nike KD 19, affectionately dubbed the “Candy’s.”

To shift from the spot to the shoes, it’s another monochromatic look for the futuristic silhouette. In much the same way that the similarly plated GT Future leaned on flooded looks, each of the kicks we’ve seen from Durant’s latest have worn shimmering all-over tonality; from the “Purple Stuff” we recently unboxed to game-worn pairs like the all-orange and all-yellow.

Further, this serves as tacit confirmation of a collaborative story we’ve been tracking for the Slim Reaper. While we’re yet to see exactly what they’ll look like (early samples were later confirmed to be inaccurate), Drake’s NOCTA is expected to take to the KD 19 sometime during its market run.

For now, check out this Drake-assisted spot below. The Nike KD 19 is confirmed to hit SNKRS on June 17th; exact colorway options are currently unconfirmed.
