Has a cancelled sneaker release ever haunted you for years after the fact? Apparently it has for Cynthia Liu and Cactus Plant Flea Market, whose Nike Flea 1 will finally release to the public during the 2026 holiday season.

The collaborative partnership between Cactus Plant Flea Market and Nike began in 2019, redefining how experimental design could exist within performance footwear. Their debut reworked the Air VaporMax with handmade aesthetics, exposed materials, and playful typography, establishing CPFM’s DIY identity within Nike’s ecosystem. Subsequent projects expanded into the Air Force 1, Swarovski-covered Dunk Lows, apparel capsules, and eventually, original silhouettes like the Flea 1. However, the first edition Flea model was cancelled close to its actual release, close enough that some pairs managed to make their way into the hands of fans & collectors like @ChefDoomy. Strangely, in 2023, CPFM still released the Flea 2, not even bothering to adjust the numbering to reflect this cancelled release.

Now, the Flea 1 is officially back on track, with a release currently slated for the 2026 holiday season. Shared by SneakerMarket.Ro, their leak says that the original “Barley” colorway from 2022 will be a part of the official drop, and a second style is being added, dressing the shoe in a simple black & sail white combo. The silhouette is very clearly inspired by the Dunk, featuring similar construction and shape, but oozing with CPFM’s signature style.

CPFM X NIKE FLEA 1 RELEASE INFORMATION

After its sudden cancellation in 2022, Cactus Plant Flea Market’s Nike Flea 1 sneaker is now rumored to finally get a public release during the holiday 2026 season. In addition to the original “Barley” colorway, spec info says that a black & sail edition will also be available. Pairs will likely be limited, releasing though only Nike & CPFM, with a price tag of $180.
