New Balance is still rolling out their 740 retro this season, tapping their frequent collaborators to assist in the shoe’s relaunch. This week, we have an early look at a new project with Concepts, coming in 2025.

New Balance released their first styles of the retro 740 runner back in October, reviving the model for the first time since its debut in the late 2000s. The shoe conforms to their signature techy look, with a mesh underlay and swooping overlays, though its paneling is more minimal compared to other recent models like the 1906. Only a couple in-line pairs have landed thus far, as well as Aminé’s collab. Now, Concepts has revealed their take on the shoe.

Concepts has a long and popular history of creating special-edition sneakers with New Balance. Each time, they craft a unique and detailed story, which translates well to the shoe’s color theme. For their latest project, the 740, we have yet to hear their inspiration, but the photos shared by @arablincoln are enough to get us hyped. The shoe features a soft olive green mesh underlay, adding pale pink overlays for the toes and midfoot. Striking Safety Orange accents help round out the look.

CONCEPTS X NEW BALANCE 740 RELEASE INFORMATION

The next release from East Coast retailer Concepts and New Balance has not bene officially announced yet, but is currently expected to release sometime early in 2025. Featuring the 740 retro in a smooth olive green, orange, and light pink palette, pairs will be available exclusively through CNCPTS. No pricing info is available yet.
