Comfort Meets Utility in STAMPD x UGG Collaboration

Los Angeles-based brand STAMPD, known for its blend of streetwear and contemporary luxury has announced a third collaboration with UGG, reimagining the brand's classic pull-on boot with a "classic comfort meets utility" approach. The collaboration features the classic boot in three distinct colorways, black, taupe and military camo. What sets this collection apart is the two sets of interchangeable UGG guards included with each pair, transforming the boots into versatile, waterproof and winter-ready footwear. These guards come in black, taupe, camo, clear and blue -- with the taupe and clear options boasting a unique glow-in-the-dark treatment for an added flair.Inspiration for the collection is said to be drawn from the brand's founder, Chris Stamp's childhood in the mountains of Aspen and his mission to enhance winter attire with modern, functional designs. The UGG guards are a testament to this vision, offering versatility and utility against harsh winter elements."This collection was built around a continued effort to create the ideal level of winter comfort meets functional, on-and-off mountain utility. The materials chosen are the best sourced within the Ugg range, representing a level of elevation - a true stepping stone from where we started. I wanted to minimize the lines on the boot, drawing focus on the update of the silhouette, combined with the dimension and utility around our designed Guard. An exciting detail and almost secret to the collection, now also allows the wearer to walk around with a glow-in-the-dark option, making for a fun & versatile day-into-night option, for any ski town or city," Stamp explained.Notably, the campaign features a cast as diverse as the gear itself, with a group of people who all have a personal connection to Stamp and the STAMPD brand. Shot by photographer Jack Waterlot and styled by Jean Chung, the shoot showcases the versatility of the reimagined boot and the variety of styling options. At the time of writing, pricing has yet to be shared, however, the boot is expected to be released December 9, exclusively online, followed by an in-store release at the STAMPD La Brea location later that day and via UGG's official site December 12.Click here to view full gallery at Hypebeast
