Update: After two teaser images were shared in 2023, Salehe Bembury has shared a third look at his new silhouette with Crocs -- which has been revealed to be named the Pollex Juniper. Building upon the sculpted sole unit that again features his fingerprint motif, the upper features ample perforations across the toe box and heel, emphasizing the breathability that Crocs is known for. In addition to this, the upper utilizes a textured finish while the collar has been reinforced by a bootie-like finish. Building off of its earlier collaborations with the designer, the role is named after the popular Pollex Clog, his molded foam-based shoe for the company that first made its debut in 2021 and has continuously sold out over the years with each new colorway drop.Bembury’s job as Creative Director, a title that will last a minimum of two years from his April appointment, was to consintously ideate new Pollex shoes for Crocs. Over the summer, Bembury and Crocs returned with a slide version of the Pollex and last month, he began teasing yet another original model.The first photo of the collaboration showed just the underside of the show, embossed with a “Crocs Salehe Bembury” stamp. A new image published by the creative director shows a sneaker with a rubbery Pollex-style sole.The body of the shoe appears to be made from peach-colored leather with a beige mesh tongue and inner lining.
