The Wallabee gets a black foundation with geometric tan and brown accents. The pattern comes from handmade Bògòlanfini, the traditional mud cloth of Mali, which brings earthy tones and texture to the shoe.
Richardson ties the project to two phrases common in hip hop, “Get It From the Mud” and “Cut From a Cloth.” They speak to perseverance, identity and origins.
