BAPE and adidas have been exploring some new avenues for collaboration in recent years. This Summer, the two will enter the world of performance gear with a special release of the EVO SL.

BAPE’s history with adidas dates back to their early 2000s, with tier 2003 “Super Ape Star” project. The release was one of the first crossovers between Japanese streetwear and sneaker culture, and became a defining release of that era. In the twenty-three years since then, BAPE and adidas have remained regular partners, often teaming up for more riffs on adidas classics like the Superstar, Stan Smith, and Samba. In recent years, they’ve expanded into a variety of lifestyle and basketball models like the Orketro, Dame 9, and HRMNY. This Summer, BAPE will enter the world of performance running with the EVO SL.

adidas’ Adizero EVO SL is one of the most popular running shoes among sneakerheads of this year. The silhouette’s simple styling and unique, forward-leaning stand have made it a standout for the brand’s collaborators, and BAPE is no different. Their version of the runner features a plain white base for the upper and sole, adding hot pink and baby blue tones to the asymmetrical stripes and stars branding elements. The inner walls feature gold for both of these branding hits, while BAPE’s signature camo decorates the inner lining and footbeds.

BAPE X ADIDAS EVO SL RELEASE INFORMATION

The next project from BAPE and adidas does not have a release date yet, but is currently expected to launch in June 2026. This release will feature the popular EVO SL running shoe, adding the Bathing Ape signature camo to the runner in asymmetrical tones. Pairs will be available through both partners for an expected $200.
